Job Duties:

Perform duties on our farm like: drive and operate harvesting machines. Typical harvest equipment may include: tractors, large and small square balers, self-propelled windrowers, pull type mower conditioners, rotary rakes, tractors, telehandlers, and skid steers. Drive heavy trucks to transport hay and straw to storage areas on our farm. Drive transporter trucks to haul harvesting machinery between our hay fields. Service machinery and make incidental in-field repairs. Between harvest jobs will be working on our equipment to prepare for our upcoming harvest season. Will also be rebaling large bales into small square bales at the main farm location. Farming with: Hay, Millet, Oats, Rye, Wheat Any tasks derived from a Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) other than the SOC designated in this job order are strictly incidental in nature, performed only on an occasional basis, and constitute less than the majority of the contractual period, and shall not be construed as reflective of the primary occupation for which certification is sought.

Special Requirements:

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English.
