Job Duties:

Workers will perform a variety of seasonal tasks on a grain farm, including operating tractors and agricultural equipment to cultivate, plant, fertilize, spray, harvest, and store grain crops. Job duties also include operating and maintaining farm machinery and vehicles, performing general farm labor, and conducting routine repairs and maintenance on buildings and equipment. Workers may assist with applying crop protection products, loading and unloading materials, cleaning and winterizing machinery and facilities, and preparing ground for planting. Duties will vary according to seasonal needs, from early spring equipment maintenance and ground preparation to fall harvesting and winter storage. Workers must be experienced in operating farm machinery, performing farm maintenance, and working efficiently during peak agricultural seasons. Level II (experienced) workers are required, defined as having at least one full season of experience in similar agricultural work. The work is physically demanding and requires endurance, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions closely to ensure timely completion of tasks. The job is not year-round, as winter weather conditions in North Dakota limit work availability.

Special Requirements:

Minimum of 3 months experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level II Experienced Level Pursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level II Experienced Level, indicating that the job requires prior related experience, independent judgment in performing recurring tasks, and the ability to work with limited supervision. The employer reserves the right to withhold the applicable housing deduction as permitted under program regulations, when approved and disclosed in the job order.
