Job Duties:

Employees will operate farm machinery to assist in the cultivation, planting, maintenance, and harvesting of wheat, canola, sunflowers, and rye. Duties include driving and operating tractors and other equipment to perform fieldwork such as plowing, discing, drilling, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting. Workers will attach and detach implements such as plows, discs, and seed drills, and are responsible for setting up, calibrating, and performing general lubrication and service checks (e.g., checking fluid levels) on machinery to ensure proper operation. Employees may conduct minor mechanical repairs to maintain equipment efficiency. Workers will transport water, fuel, seed, and supplies to and from fields and storage locations. No CDL is required for any farm driving, and no heavy truck driving is involved. Candidates will be required to obtain a valid Class D driver’s license within 60 days of starting employment. Manual labor duties include maintenance and organization of the farm environment and facilities, including cleaning workspaces and general upkeep of equipment and housing areas. Employees must adhere to all applicable federal and state labor regulations regarding work hours, breaks, housing, and vehicle use. Grounds for termination may include repeated absenteeism or tardiness, violation of safety protocols, failure to perform job duties satisfactorily, misconduct or insubordination, or substance abuse on the job or while operating machinery or vehicle. Skill Level Required: Level II (Experienced) – prior experience in operating farm machinery is necessary.

Special Requirements:

Minimum of 3 months experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain.
