Job Description

- Job Duties:
- Performs tasks such as operating farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest, and store grain crops. Duties include attaching implements like plows, discs, and drills to tractors, tilling soil, planting and cultivating grain, towing harvesting equipment, and operating self-propelled combines. The worker will be responsible for the general lubrication, service (including fluid checks), and basic mechanical repair of farming machinery. Additional responsibilities include transporting produce, water, and supplies to fields, elevators, or storage locations. The worker will operate equipment for field preparation during the spring, crop maintenance during the summer, and harvesting activities in the fall. In winter months, workers will assist with equipment and facility winterizing. No commercial or heavy truck driving requiring a CDL is required; the employer is exempt from CDL requirements for farm trucking under state law. This position requires Skill Level II (Experienced), in crop farming and farm machinery operation is expected. This employment is temporary and based on seasonal needs, with job requirements varying depending on the time of year and weather conditions.
