- Job Duties:
- Feeding and maintaining livestock, including placement of additional feed during the colder months. Monitor cattle and goats closely during birthing season to assist with birth duties, support newly born livestock babies, and support livestock in the event of still births. Check water and access to the water, maintaining water lines. Check and maintain the fence lines. Transfer certain livestock to different pastures/fields so they can access newly grown grain/feed that was planted during the previous year(s). Perform daily head-counts of the animals, along with basic wellness checks. Maintain clean spaces in corrals and barns. Make sure oilfield activity is monitored relating to the wellbeing of the animals and the terrain they occupy. Herd and work cattle to prepare them for sale at auction and assist with transportation of the cattle to sale.
