Job Duties:

Use and maintain tractors and implements to disc, plow, cultivate, lay drip tape, plant, harvest the following crops: onions, chiles, alfalfa, corn silage, and wheat. Work in the farm onion packing shed operating a forklift and packing equipment. workers will operate irrigation systems turning them on and off. 1. Driving, operation and maintenance of tractors and equipment 2. Tillage, discing, plowing, planting, laser leveling, border disking, with tractor operation for all crops. 3. Forklift and Loader operation 4. Irrigation: Duties including flood irrigation and filtered drip system, siphon usage, tape installation, extraction, and maintenance, fixing leaks 5. Irrigation, using siphons, drip pump trailers, and drip tape. 6. Alfalfa: cutting(swather), raking, baling, loading with loader, replacing borders for irrigation 7. Chile: harvest using tractors and forklifts, handling boxes (loading and unloading) hauling Chile from fields in boxes and loading on trucks with forklifts. 8. Cotton: Tractor, boll buggy, module builder, tarping, picking up cotton that falls from equipment around the module builder 9. Onions: tractor operation including cultivating, rod weeding, spreading boxes, loading boxes on trucks during harvest, operating packing machines, sticker machines, palletizers, and box fillers in the onion processing shed, also, power washing shed and field bins 10. Ditch banks and turn row cleaning of weeds spraying, and hoeing. Repairing fences and painting, cleaning barns 11. Repairing and painting fences, feeding livestock and horses, light cleaning of corrals and manure pick up. 12. Light mechanical maintenance duties: Oil changes and filters, replacement of worn parts, bearings etc. on equipment and tractors. Cleaning and general maintenance.
