Job Duties:
We operate a family farm where we farm corn soybeans milo and wheat, also keep around 1000 head of feeder cattle on our (employer owned) farm. Employees will need to assist with our crops season and complete all aspects of raising these crops. On our own farm we have a wide variety of job opportunities that require workers with considerable skills and willingness to work. Employees will need to assist with fence maintenance/repair, cutting down trees and other general farm duties. Employees will need to operate farm equipment to plant, spray, harvest and haul crops. Equipment includes grain cart, combine, tractor, loader and harvesting equipment. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment including change oil, grease, repairs, change tires, welding, etc. Per state regulations, employer is exempt from a commercial CDL requirement for farm trucking. No commercial trucking is required. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at the previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.
