Job Duties:

We custom combine hay, wheat, triticale, and rye in the Spring and corn, sudex, cornstalks, and sorghum in the Fall. Employees will be required to drive trucks to haul harvested crops to the storage locations. Employees will be responsible to take care of their trucks, by ensuring it is full of fuel daily, doing a daily maintenance checklist on the trucks. Employees will be required to do other assigned duties as the opportunity become available. They will be responsible to move equipment to and from job sites. Must be able to assist the mechanic to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at the previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.

Special Requirements:

Job requires extensive sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, repetitive movements, frequent stooping and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft criminal background. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license and employee must be able to obtain a CDL or equivalent within 30 days of hire. If the employee is unable to successfully pass the CDL written and driving test, the employee will be dismissed from his assignment with Jantzen Harvesting, LLC. Require 3 months experience.
