Job Duties:

Farm Laborers Workers will perform general farm labor duties including planting, harvesting, picking, grading, pruning, loading, and unloading agricultural products such as broccoli, ghost pepper, zucchini, yellow squash, butternut squash, beans, peas, okra, green beans, tomatillos, jalapeños, eggplant, watermelon, peanuts, and tomatoes. Duties also include general labor at cotton gins, including pressing and sampling cotton, feeding module rakes with loose cotton, and transporting cotton within the yard. Additional responsibilities include pulling weeds, lining rows, picking up stumps, raking, pulling plastic, cleaning shed areas, laying irrigation pipe, cleaning fields, and digging ditches. Workers will remove plants and field debris after harvest and assist in field preparation for subsequent planting cycles, including removal of old plastic, drip tape, trash, rocks, and debris. Work requires frequent bending, stooping, walking, and reaching, and the use of a knife to harvest crops at the proper size and maturity.

Special Requirements:

Two months of verifiable farm work experience required. Work will be performed in extremely hot, cold, and/or wet conditions. Workers must be able to walk, bend, sit, reach, stoop, stand, push and pull, perform repetitive movements, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Drug testing is conducted post-hire at the employers expense and is not part of the interview process. Any employee who refuses to take or fails the drug test will be terminated and paid for all hours worked, if any.
