Job Duties:

Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery and Greenhouse such as: Record information about crops such as pesticide use, yields, or costs. Direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting of crops. Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops. Wash, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment. Set up, repair, maintain, and operate center pivot irrigation equipment. Inform farm managers of crop progress. Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as corn, wheat, hay. Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities. Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping. Maintain inventory. Trap and destroy pests such as moles, gophers and mice. Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil. Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery. Attach implements using hand tools.
