- Job Duties:
- Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as hay; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Inspect, maintain, fashion, repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, fences and other structures; Attend to live farm animals including cattle; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Bale hay and silage using large round baler; Mow using mower-conditioners, Rake; Move hay from the field to hay barns using hay spears on the front and back of tractors; Maintain pastures using 15’ and 20’ bushhogs throughout the year.
