Job Duties:
This job requires Machine harvest of bulk radish, carrots, Brussel sprouts, and beets; hand harvest herbs, greens, chard, beets, root crops, onions, Brussels sprouts, radish, winter squash; irrigation, planting, packing, washing, tractor/mechanical maintenance, crop preparation, crop protection, crop transport, machinery maintenance and tear down sanitation of packing shed equipment and grounds/facilities by the worker. Crops: Radishes, Onions, Cilantro, Parsley, Spinach, Romaine lettuce, Lettuce, Beets, Greens, Cabbage, kale, collards, Napa cabbages, Cabbages, Hard squashes, Pumpkins, Brussels sprouts, Carrots, Bok choy, Swiss chard. Row Crop/ Vegetables. Job Specific Job Requirements: 1. Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and reach for long periods of time. 2. Responsible for helping with day-to-day farming operations in their designated area on the row crop farm. 3. Duties include harvesting, packaging, weeding, washing and cooling of row crop vegetables to meet production standards and procedures. 4. The work is under the general direction of a supervisor or employer and is subject to period review by the supervisors for results obtained, changes in work methods, and adherence to policies. 5. Maximize crop by best weeding and harvesting practices. 6. Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds with assistance allowed over 50 lbs. 7. Work with crews that move and set up irrigation pipes. Workers can also: 1.Drive tractors 2.Spray and mix chemicals and fertilizers 3.Operate trucks to carry farm equipment, crops and farmworkers 4.Perform general repair of agricultural equipment. 5.Pack crops into containers. 6.Washing and packing 7.Sorting product 8.Standing for entire shift 9.Palletizing product Field Worker will do the following tasks: Plant transplants and/or seeds; Harvest a variety of produce; Pack produce for delivery to customers; Lift and Stack produce on trucks for transport to main farm; Perform weeding as needed; Follow instructions from Field Supervisors; Keep production levels at crew rates; Work with irrigation systems Perform Manual labor as needed; Work Safely following procedures and instructions; Follow instructions regarding hygiene and food safety. Field Work Involves: Repetitive movements Extensive pushing and pulling Extensive walking Frequent Stooping Extensive kneeling The Employer attests that all workers will be properly trained in the Worker Protections Standard (WPS) by qualified WPS trainers who have completed an EPA-approved Train-the-Trainer course pursuant to the Oregon Department of Agriculture. Workers who possess a valid driver's license and meet all applicable legal requirements, including holding a doctor's certificate as required by 29 CFR § 500.105, may be asked to drive vehicles for transporting workers, goods, or commodities on company business. This task is voluntary, compensable, and not a mandatory job duty. Workers without a valid driver's license or doctor's certificate will still be fully eligible for employment and are not disqualified from any other job responsibilities outlined in this application. The employer can and will make alternative arrangements for the transportation of workers should the need arise. The employer attests that workers and handlers will receive annual pesticide safety training in accordance with the Worker Protections Standard (WPS) mandated by the Oregon Department of Agriculture. The Employer will furnish, without charge, all tools, supplies and personal protective equipment required in the performance of the specified work. To secure a replacement at no cost for an employer supplied item, the Worker must present the worn-out item to be replaced.

Special Requirements:
2 months of row crop experience - specific to the crops included in this job order. Must be able to lift and/or load 60lbs(Assistance allowed above 50 lbs) Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. May require extensive pulling and/or pushing of tools, wheelbarrows, fruit containers, etc. May require worker to sit and/or walk for extensive periods of time while sorting, picking, examining, weeding, transporting, pruning, etc. Workers will be required to stoop and/or bend over while performing field labor such as weeding, irrigating, pruning, picking, removing debris, etc. There will be repetitive movements while performing most of the field labor duties, for example picking, sorting, pruning, shoveling, weeding, etc. The Worker may never ride on agricultural equipment not designed for work related riding purposes or any other non-passenger intended equipment unless instructed and authorized by the employer or supervisor to do so.
