Job Duties:

This job encompasses farm labor on a berry nursery/farm, including installing infrastructure (trellis, irrigation, and shade/bird net), setting out pots, filling pots with coconut coir, planting berry plants, training berry plants, pinching berry plants, harvesting of plants, weeding pots and plant rows, destroying plants and berry harvest. This is a skill level II position requires at least 3 months of verifiable work experience picking raspberries and blackberries and berry plant nursery work. During harvest and packing workers must meet the following harvest standards: • No more than 2% wet, leaking, or punctured berries are allowed in any pack. • Blackberries: Maximum 5% red-cell or underripe fruit. • Raspberries: Maximum 10% salmon-colored and/or green underripe fruit. Workers may be asked to repack fruit if any pack exceeds these limits.
