Job Duties:
Workers will plant, cultivate, weed, and harvest crops, move and repair irrigation pipe, sort, wash, and pack vegetables. Packing will be done in barn and is 100% employer grown produce. Workers will work in greenhouse, planting, seeding, cleaning and repairing if needed., Workers will maintain farm property including cutting grass, weed eating, cleanup, painting, fence repair, building repair and general maintenance. A driver’s license is helpful for errands. Workers will need to have 3 months prior experience with general farming and cultivating, harvesting, and packing vegetables.

Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. The employer may offer additional work hours or these hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. Use of electronic devices during work hours is restricted to emergencies only. In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business.
