- Job Duties:
- Workers will assist with various seasonal tasks essential to the farm’s grain and livestock operations. Primary responsibilities include operating and driving standard agricultural equipment such as tractors, combines, seeders, and haying machinery to prepare fields, plant, cultivate, harvest, and store grain and hay crops. Workers will perform routine maintenance on farm machinery, such as checking fluids, cleaning equipment, and making minor repairs to ensure optimal operation during the season. General fieldwork duties will include clearing debris, rock picking, spraying, mowing, and fencing. Workers may also be required to load and unload grain and hay, operate grain carts, and monitor grain storage. Livestock-related tasks include checking and repairing fencing, assisting with feeding, providing basic animal care, and helping with sorting and moving animals as needed. The work is outdoors and subject to weather conditions; workers must be prepared to work in hot, cold, wet, dusty, and windy environments. Duties require attention to detail, especially when operating heavy equipment near other workers, structures, or livestock. No prior experience is required; all necessary training will be provided. Workers must follow all safety rules and instructions and complete tasks efficiently to meet the farm’s seasonal operational needs. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.
