Job Duties:

The workers will be picking blueberries manually in the fields, and placing them into 1-gallon buckets, and then carrying the buckets to the weigher in the fields. The blueberries will be picked according to size, shape, maturity level, and/or ripeness. Also, the workers will be performing field maintenance, including but not limited to installing irrigation systems, pulling weeds, laying mulch, and pruning blueberry bushes in the fields. Workers need to be able to work the entire period; 35 hours per week. Pay rate for picking blueberries will be on two different piece rates: Piece rate #1: $3.00 per 1-gallon bucket; Piece rate #2: $0.50 per pound; Both piece rates have a minimum wage guarantee and an estimated hourly rate of $14.47 per hour, because the employer provides housing to the workers. All tools will be provided at no cost to the workers.
