- Job Duties:
- We need seasonal employees to assist with our crop production season for corn, wheat, sorghum, cotton, and peanuts. Employees will assist with all assigned duties related to the production, maintenance, and harvest of these crops. Responsibilities include preparing fields for planting; attaching farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, and harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools; and operating tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery. Employees will engage in planting, cultivating, weeding, spraying, fertilizing, and harvesting activities, including applying fertilizer and pesticide solutions to control insects, weeds, fungus, and crop diseases. Additional duties include loading and unloading crops or materials manually or using conveyors, forklifts, transfer augers, or hand trucks; loading hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines using augers, shovels, pitchforks, or suction gates; observing machinery during operation to detect malfunctions; driving farm semi-trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools; recording required agricultural data; and completing routine inspection, maintenance, and repairs on equipment and irrigation systems. Employees may also be required to inspect, examine, and diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment to locate damage, wear, defects, or malfunctions by reading inspection reports and work orders. Duties may include disassembling, cleaning, repairing, fabricating, or replacing mechanical components such as engines, pipes, sheet metal, and structural parts using hand tools, welding equipment, lathes, drill presses, grinders, saws, and other machine tools. Employees will install, repair, and maintain farm machinery, vehicles, irrigation, plumbing, and sprinkler systems; lubricate, reassemble, test, and adjust equipment to ensure proper operation; and transport tools, equipment, or machinery to and from repair sites as needed. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer.
