- Job Duties:
- Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time. All tasks must be performed on day or night shifts. Work performed in both indoor/outdoor settings.
Laydown/Spacking/ Respaced Pots: Prepare field laydown. Collect shelves and plug trays. Space pots and reassemble trays using wagons, tractors, conveyors, or by hand.
General Clean-Up: Remove weeds from bays, roads, pots, and other areas. Cut grass using farm tools.
Planting-Replanting: Remove dead plants and replant new ones.
Centers: Plant centerpiece plants in fields, greenhouse, shipping barn, or field.
Tags: Insert, remove, or cut tags by hand or with scissors in greenhouse, shipping barn, or field.
Fix Pots/Clean Bays: Repair pots. Build and wrap pallets with scrap pots, trays, and leftover materials.
Planting/Transfer Table Operations: Feed transplant/soil lines. Dibble, plant, label, tag, and space pots/trays. Collect trash. Use ladders and cutting tools as needed.
Tying: Using string to loop around plants to hold and/or position the plant as necessary. Repeat process as instructed.
Weed Pulling: Hand pulling weeds as instructed from pots and other areas as instructed.
Pruning: Train, prune, trim, shear, space, transplant and cull trees and/or plants as instructed.
Spraying: Apply pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and other crop protectants. Wear required PPE.
Fertilizing: Apply fertilizers, plant growth chemicals, conditioners, and other plant related treatments as instructed, under close supervision and direction.
Rack Operations: Assemble and organize. Decorate racks with labels, stickers, posters. Load/unload racks with pots by hand or equipment. Transport racks with CC carts.
Shipping Operations: Organize racks/pallets for shipping. Clean pots/racks, replace damaged plants/tags. Wrap racks/pallets. Load/unload trucks with equipment/tools. Prepare labels, documents, and chemical bales. Scan racks and place trackers.
Farm Equipment Operator: Operate farm equipment for harvest, crop production, and general applications. Conduct safety inspections of farm equipment and make field adjusttments as needed. Operating farm equipment can be done on both day or night shift.
