Job Duties:

PILOT APPLICATION: Duties may include: Pilot airplanes or helicopters over farmlands at low altitudes to dust or spray fields with fertilizers, fungicides, or pesticides. Fuel the plane by connecting and disconnecting fuel hose to and from the airplane. Mix chemicals - Read and understand a load ticket. Load the plane with chemical by connecting and disconnecting load hose to and from plane. Load plane with fertilizer by driving and operating forklift. Clean all equipment daily. Mow airstrips. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Minimum of (3) months experience required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Basic math skills. Must be able to read, understand and follow directions. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. What your day may look like- Blends and loads all chemical mixes prior to each load/flight.- Clean aircraft.- Maintains general awareness of inventory levels and fuel levels for leader.- Maintains cleanliness in hanger/loadout areas.- Reliable and regular attendance is expected.- Very early mornings are often required. When working outdoors and possibly around moving equipment/mechanical parts, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, chemical and biological hazards, vibrations and a risk of electrical shock. This position requires you to use your hands for many different tasks and to talk, hear, walk, stand and sit. You may be occasionally required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Special Requirements:

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Certified license is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English.
