Job Duties:

We are seeking a dedicated Farm Operations Technician to join our team for the upcoming planting, growing, and harvest seasons, with responsibilities that include assisting with early field preparations, equipment checks, and maintenance from March 15th through April 9th; participating in planting operations from April 10th through June 10th to ensure proper seed placement and proper equipment function; and beginning June 11th and continuing through the season, operating and maintaining irrigation systems including center pivots, conducting routine equipment maintenance and repairs, assisting with haying operations such as mowing orchard grass and alfalfa, and performing general farm maintenance including mowing, cleaning yards, and other farm improvement tasks, as well as engaging in harvest activities from September 10th through December 15th to ensure proper grain collection and storage. The employer, at its sole discretion, grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience.

Special Requirements:

This position requires repetitive movements, extensive pushing and pulling, frequent walking, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A valid, regular drivers license is required, along with a minimum of three months of related experience. Previous experience in agriculture or farming is preferred, as well as mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and repairs, the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, and strong teamwork and communication skills. The employer will conduct post-hire background checks and random drug screenings at no cost to the employee to maintain a drug-free workplace; individuals with a violent or theft-related criminal background will not be employed, and failure of a drug test will result in termination.
