- Job Duties:
- Job duties include drive tractors and combines; prepare land; plant, cultivate, harvest rice, grain, soybeans, corn and sorghum; hand plant sugarcane; maintain levees; maintain/sweep grain bins; shovel work; operate large equipment; cut weeds; irrigating fields; crawfishing in boats, catching crawfish, performing crawfishing duties in fields; bait/check crawfish traps; repair crawfish traps; 1 month of experience in similar farm occupation required. Base hours offered is 40 hours offered; overtime hours are usually offered during plentiful season and may include an additional 10-40 hours of overtime work depending on the nature of the season; work schedule includes one unpaid lunch hour; higher wage may be paid based on experience.
