- Job Duties:
- Primary Job Duties: 1) Gathering eggs from the conveyor belts inside our nine mobile chicken shelters 2) Washing, weighing, and packing eggs. This includes operating the Egg Processing Machine (washes/weighs/packs eggs), the Egg Grader (weighs eggs), and washing any heavily soiled eggs by hand. 3) Tending to our large/seasonal Turkey and Broiler Chicken flocks. Temporary/Seasonal Need: Our need for an additional worker is temporary and seasonal due to the cyclical nature of broiler chicken (Spring & Fall), turkey (July-January), and egg production (Year-round, but with seasonal increases in the Spring & Fall). Labor demands increase during periods of peak poultry & egg production, with related increases in flock sizes. All of the aforementioned are affected by both seasonal conditions and market demand. The duties outlined above cannot be performed continuously year-round at the same staffing level. Additional staffing is required only for the duration of the stated contract period.

- Special Requirements:
- Though most work is performed under cover, applicants MUST be willing to work in all weather conditions. Applicants MUST also be able to lift at least 30 lbs (A full crate of eggs). Finally, applicants MUST be reliable. Inability to show up for work on the scheduled date/time is unacceptable, as it places an enormous burden on the rest of our small farm team. Hours are typically between 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM, but can vary with the seasons and/or to accommodate farm workers' schedules. Additional hours are always available to anyone who's willing to help and eager to learn.
