Job Duties:

The worker will drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, and harvest grain crops, including wheat and corn, on a 5,000-acre rotational crop farm. Duties include preparing fields using tillage equipment, operating tractors with planters and sprayers, and using combines during harvest. The worker will check and maintain equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Work will be performed under close supervision, with tasks assigned by the employer or manager based on seasonal needs and weather conditions. The worker will assist with transporting harvested crops to storage or market, monitor crop progress, and report any issues to supervisors. Other general farm labor may include basic maintenance of farm structures and cleaning equipment. No supervision of other workers is required. The position requires timely completion of tasks within short weather-dependent windows, and the worker must be available to work extended hours during peak planting and harvest periods. All tools, equipment, and safety gear will be provided at no cost to the worker. Transportation will be provided from employer housing to the worksite. This job is temporary, limited to the spring through fall season when labor demand is highest for machinery operation and fieldwork. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.

No experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level I Entry Level Pursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level I Entry Level, indicating that the job requires limited experience and routine supervision consistent with entry-level duties. The employer reserves the right to withhold the applicable housing deduction as permitted under program regulations, when approved and disclosed in the job order.
