Job Description

- Job Duties:
- Safely operate modern row-crop farm equipment including but not limited to: tractors with GPS/autosteer, combines, self-propelled and pull-type sprayers, grain carts, tillage equipment, planters, and drills. Haul grain and farm products: Drive semi-truck or straight truck with grain trailer(s) to elevators, processors, and other delivery points. Load, unload, and tarp loads as required. Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repairs on all farm equipment, trucks, and machinery (tractors, combines, sprayers, augers, dryers, trucks, etc.) Perform general shop, building, and grounds maintenance: Welding and fabrication as needed Repair and maintain grain bins, shops, machine sheds, and other farm structures Snow removal, fence repair, lawn/yard upkeep, and other property maintenance Assist with field operations including, but not limited to: Planting, spraying, tillage, harvest, rock picking, field scouting, and tile/drainage work Respond to breakdowns and weather-related timing demands: Work extended hours (including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary) during critical seasons (planting and harvest) Troubleshoot and repair equipment in the field under time pressure Complete any other tasks assigned by the owner/operator that are reasonably related to the efficient operation of the farm.
