- Job Duties:
- Job duties include operating farm equipment, including spray equipment, fertilizer, planter, and chain cutter; spray chemicals; cultivate during Spring; repair and maintain farm equipment, including cane harvester; job involves frequent stooping, lifting and exposure to extreme temperatures. Worker must be able to lift/carry sufficient weight (approximately 50 pounds) to move equipment and material necessary to complete assigned tasks. The Employer will rely on the workers' own representations and observations of workers to assess if the workers meet this qualification. Random drug screening upon hire (paid for by Employer); minimum three months experience required in similar occupation. Work schedule includes one unpaid lunch hour. Base hours offered is 40 hours offered; overtime hours are usually offered during plentiful season and may include an additional 10-40 hours of overtime work depending on the nature of the season; higher wage may be paid based on experience.
