- Job Duties:
- Under ONet Code 45-2091.00 Agricultural Equipment Operators: Prepare the land for planting, plant, cultivate, and harvest crops. Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors and combines. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Operate towed machines such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, or tools. Under ONet Code 45-2092.00 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops. Identify plants, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers. Feel plants' leaves and note their coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease. Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment. Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures.

- Special Requirements:
- The anticipated workday is 8 hours a day, Monday through Saturday; average of 48 hours/week. The actual hours may vary and there may be periods when little or no work will be available due to weather, time of year and the requirements of the cropping program. The worker may be offered more than 8 hours per day, but is only required to work 8 hours per day. Workers may be requested, but will not be required, to work on the worker's Sabbath. Minimum of three (3) month's of experience required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30-60 days of hire.
