Job Duties:

Worker will be required to complete the following activities as directed by supervisor; monitor planting, harvesting and packing processes; train new employees on employer standard operating procedures; precision planting, transplant, trim, spray, weed, maintain, and harvest to quality standards vegetable, fruit, sod and row crops; maintain planting records; prepare fields/soil for planting; maintain equipment, fields, and farm property; general repairs and maintenance of farm equipment; dig trenches for irrigation; assemble, disassemble, operate and repair irrigation equipment; assemble and prep crates, bins, bags, containers; load/unload crops; drive and operate tractor, dump truck, loader, forklift, and other farm equipment to perform farm tasks; drive employer provided vehicle to and from the worksite and to other locations; transport employers crops to market and storage locations with all locations allowing workers to reasonably return within same workday; grade, monitor product quality; sort and pack produce to customer standards; wash and sanitize buckets, bins, and other packing house containers and equipment and maintain a clean packing area; general farm property and farm building clean-up. Other duties assigned under this order will be consistent under Bureau of Labor Statistics Standard Occupational Classification: Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery and Greenhouse Workers (45-2092)

Special Requirements:

Job requires worker to complete tasks in general farm labor in the production, harvest and packing of carrots, onions, sweet corn, leafy greens, lettuce, pumpkin, corn, soybeans, sugar beets and sod. Employer will provide instructions and training on specific job duties. Experience Requirement: 3 month(s) verifiable experience in commercial vegetable production required. Applicants must furnish job references from employers of the last 3 years establishing acceptable prior experience. Season Commitment: Job offered requires worker be available for work for entire employment period. Employer participates in FLSP research and reporting which includes granting access to workers to take surveys an participate in in-person interviews
