Job Duties:

This application encompasses: irrigation of crops, planting and harvesting of row crops including alfalfa, wheat, corn and potatoes. This is a SKILL LEVEL II position as it requires at least 3 months of experience with agricultural equipment operation, irrigation and general farm labor. Workers will be required to work independently and with minimal supervision after given work tasks for the day. The lifting requirement for this position is 50 pounds. All other duties assigned under this order will be primarily those duties of Ag Equipment Operator, Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment Statistics Standard Occupational Classification Code 45-2091 but may also include Farm Worker and Laborer Crop, Nursery and Greenhouse, under the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment Statistics Standard Occupational Classification Code 45-2092. General Farm Work will include the following duties 1. Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production irrigation equipment and other commonly used equipment in agriculture. 2. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. 3. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. 4. Spray herbicides to control weed growth, and diseases using tractor or hand sprayers. 5.Remove weeds from all crops using a shovel, hoe or hands. 6. During harvest, workers may be driving harvest vehicles 7. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. 8. Load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers or shovels. 9. Drive vehicles or non-CDL, farm exempt trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers. 10. Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers.

Additional Wage Information: The employer agrees that it will offer, advertise in its recruitment, and pay at least the Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR), the prevailing hourly wage rate, the prevailing piece rate, the agreed-upon collective bargaining rate, or the Federal or State minimum wage rate, in effect at the time work is performed, whichever is highest. The employer may pay a higher hourly rate based on tenured performance and the Employer may, at its discretion, pay higher hourly rates for workers performing specialized duties. These higher rates will be based on individual factors including demonstrated skill/knowledge after hire, demonstrated experience after hire, certifications, and performance, and will be offered to all qualified H-2A and corresponding U.S. workers on the same terms. Such payments do not change the primary job classification or required experience level.
