- Job Duties:
- We need seasonal employees to assist with our corn, soybean and haying operation. We also receive cattle in April and ship them out in November. While we have the cattle on our farm we will need seasonal help caring for the cattle. Job duties will involve a variety of tasks in crop and livestock management. Workers will prepare fields for planting, attach farm implements to tractors, and operate equipment such as tractors, sprayers, manure spreaders, and harvesters for planting, fertilizing, spraying, and harvesting. They will load and unload crops manually or using machinery, regulate product flow on conveyors, and maintain equipment by performing routine inspections, adjustments, and repairs. Workers will also record agricultural data and haul crops, supplies, and tools. In livestock care, workers will distribute feed, examine animals for health issues, and provide treatments like vaccinations and medications. They will manage livestock movement to grazing areas, monitor food and water supplies, and ensure cleanliness in pens and stalls. Additional duties include feeding cattle, handling feed and minerals, checking fences, maintaining water supplies, and observing animal health. Workers will also care for injured or sick animals and ensure proper livestock health management. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.

- Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have a regular driver's license. Requires 3 months farm experience.
