Job Duties:

We raise and sell approximately 6000 perennials of different types and sizes in pots and approximately 300 trees of different types and sizes. We need seasonal employees to assist in the nursery growing these plants. The operation includes growing perennials from propagation and transplanting them into larger pots as they grow to market size. The plants will require watering, fertilizing, weeding, pruning, adding pre-emergent, repotting, loading, and unloading plants, mixing potting soil and filling pots, labeling, and preparing pots for shipment, also at the end of growing season prepare inventory stock for winter. Tree operation includes unloading tree stock of different types in bareroot, pots, ball and burlap and growing the stock to market sizes. The activities include but not limited to unloading, potting, mixing potting mix, retransplanting trees to larger containers, watering, fertilizing, weeding, staking, mulching, loading and preparing nursery stock for shipment and inventory for wintering. The employer, at its sole discretion, grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience.
