Job Duties:

We need seasonal employees to assist with our pecan and citrus production season. Employees will need to do a variety of duties related to the pecan operation, including mowing, fertilizer application, herbicide application, spraying, pruning, maintaining orchard, irrigation repair, harvesting, and sweeping. Employees will also need to assist with our citrus operation with job duties including spraying, herbicide application, fertilizer application, irrigation repair, pruning, and irrigation maintenance. Other job duties will include: attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tractors, sprayers, irrigation equipment, plant trees, engage in planting, weeding, spraying and/or harvesting activities, spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases, using hand sprayers, mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into machinery, observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions, load crops and unload crops, operate equipment to harvest crops, complete maintenance and repairs on irrigation equipment, drive pickup trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools, inspect, adjust, and complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment dig, cut, and transplant seedlings, cuttings, trees, and shrubs, operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops, plant, spray, weed, fertilize, water, and prune plants, shrubs, and trees, using gardening tools, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment, repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures, cut trees or logs, operate farming equipment, and operate irrigation systems. Employees will also need to maintain farm roads, operate a frontend loader, chainsaw and hand tools. The employer, at its sole discretion, grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid $15.00/hr if that rate exceeds the current published rate.

Special Requirements:

Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Job requires exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures, repetitive movements. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have a regular driver's license. Requires 3 months farm experience.
