Job Duties:

The worker will operate agricultural equipment to support crop production on a 16,500-acre grain farm specializing in wheat, durum, soybeans, and corn. Duties include operating tractors, combines, sprayers, and other mechanized machinery for field preparation, planting, crop maintenance, and harvesting. Responsibilities involve driving and maneuvering equipment over various terrain; calibrating, cleaning, and maintaining equipment for optimal performance; and monitoring field conditions to ensure timely completion of tasks. Workers will load and unload seed, fertilizers, and harvested crops; transport materials between fields and storage; and assist with basic mechanical repairs. Fieldwork may require long hours during planting and harvest seasons, with tasks influenced by weather and crop cycles. Precision, attention to safety, and adherence to schedules are critical. Workers must have prior experience with similar large-scale grain operations and be able to follow instructions accurately. Duties are physically demanding and may involve extended periods of sitting, lifting, or climbing on and off machinery. The worker must be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure efficient farm operations during peak agricultural seasons. No duties will be assigned outside the scope of those described in this job order. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.

Special Requirements:

Minimum of 3 months experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level II Experienced LevelPursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level II Experienced Level, indicating that the job requires prior related experience, independent judgment in performing recurring tasks, and the ability to work with limited supervision. The employer reserves the right to withhold the applicable housing deduction as permitted under program regulations, when approved and disclosed in the job order.
