Job Duties:

The worker will assist with field operations essential to the seasonal production of small grains on a 3,500-acre farm. Duties include operating and driving farm machinery such as tractors, sprayers, and harvesters to plant, fertilize, cultivate, and harvest crops. Worker will perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment before and after use, ensuring machinery remains in good working condition. Tasks may include attaching implements, monitoring machine performance, and reporting mechanical issues to the supervisor. Additional responsibilities include assisting with field preparation, loading and unloading seed or harvested crops, cleaning equipment and storage areas, and maintaining a clean worksite. Worker may be required to assist with basic crop care such as monitoring irrigation systems or performing minor field repairs. The job requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols during machinery operation and crop handling. No prior experience is necessary; the employer will provide training to ensure workers can perform all tasks safely and efficiently. Work is outdoors and may be performed in a variety of weather conditions. Worker must be able to lift, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks. Duties may vary slightly depending on weather and crop conditions, but all tasks will relate directly to seasonal grain farming operations. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.

Special Requirements:

No experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level I Entry Level Pursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level I Entry Level, indicating that the job requires limited experience and routine supervision consistent with entry-level duties. The employer reserves the right to withhold the applicable housing deduction as permitted under program regulations, when approved and disclosed in the job order.
