- Job Duties:
- Workers will manually plant, cultivate and harvest vegetables including thinning and weeding plants using hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes and rakes. Workers will manually plant specialty crops. Workers will manually and mechanically mix soils and fill containers with soil. Workers will also dig, cut, pick, bunch and clean crops by hand. Workers will grade crops both by hand and on a mechanical grading line. Workers will be responsible for culling spoiled and immature vegetables, spacing and trimming plants. Workers must take care not to scar or bruise vegetables during harvesting and/or packing process. Workers must be able to lift 50 pound crates/boxes of harvested vegetables. Workers will work on a mechanical transplanter and may drive tractors to pull harvest wagons or cultivate crops. Workers may move, repair and assemble irrigation equipment, perform greenhouse repairs and maintenance and participate in farm and field clean up.

- Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. Use of cell phones during work hours is prohibited, supervisors will have phones in case of emergency.
