- Job Duties:
- Record information about crops; Direct and monitor work; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach implements using hand tools; Weigh containers and record weights and identifying information; Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, discard rotten items; Position boxes/bags at ends of machinery to catch products, remove and close full containers; Collect and extract honey from hives and combs; Inspect honey hives; Treat bees for disease and parasites; Ensure colonies have sufficient food; Breed queens; Build and maintain hives; Drive farm vehicle to obtain supplies, use honey extracting equipment; Use miscellaneous tools to work with honey bees; Minor upkeep on equipment and worksite operations; May not have bee or pollen related allergies.

- Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. Lift up to 60 lbs.
