Job Duties:

We are propagating annuals, perennials, shrubs, ornamental plants, and herbs. We will need help propagating, tending, potting, and irrigation. Workers will also need to inspect and address insect and disease issues. We will be cultivating, harvesting and other horticultural activities. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc, attach/detach implements, be able to handle working in high humidity, clean work areas, construct structures to support plant growth, direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting, feel plants/crops leaves and note coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease, hand pick and manually grade crops, haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil, identify plants, crops, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers, inform farm managers of plants or crops progress, load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities, load and unload materials and commodities, load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, maintain grounds and landscaping, maintain inventory, mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery, operate self propelled machinery, participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops, position boxes/bags at ends of machinery to catch products, remove and close full containers, regulate conditions, repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures, tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops, use hand tools such as such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives, weigh containers and record weights and identifying information, work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: augers, dirt moving equipment, forklift, irrigation equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, packaging equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, self-propelled machinery, sprayers, spreaders. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: bushes, flowers, fruit, nursery plants, shrubs, trees, vegetables, Herbs.

Special Requirements:

Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. . Lift up to 50 lbs.
