Job Duties:

Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment. Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures. Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, water, and prune crops. Clean work areas, and maintain grounds and landscaping. Load agricultural products into trucks, and drive trucks to market or storage facilities. Harvest fruits and vegetables by hand. Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops. Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, handtrucks, forklifts, or transfer augers.Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery. Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases, using hand sprayers. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions.Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Special Requirements:

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children and expensive tools and equipment on the farm. Failure to pass criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
