Job Duties:

We will be growing 5 acres of vegetables and pumpkins for the 2025 farming season. This requires operating small equipment and a lot of hand work to maintain healthy crops. We utilize drip irrigation system for our farm. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc, clean work areas, direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting, feel plants/crops leaves and note coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease, hand pick and manually grade crops, haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil, identify plants, crops, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers, inform farm managers of plants or crops progress, load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities, maintain grounds and landscaping, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment, tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops, use hand tools such as such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, knives, wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: dirt moving equipment, irrigation equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, skid steers, sprayers. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: trees, vegetables, Pumpkins. Worker needs knowledge of installing, maintaining, and operating drip irrigation system for pumpkin farm. Must speak and understand English.

Special Requirements:

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
