Job Duties:
erform duties on a farm for a farmer like: Drive/operate equipment such as GPS autosteer systems and skid-steer loader for liquid and dry manure management; attach implements perform removal, pumping, application, and treatment of manure. Drive and operate farm machinery, farm trucks with tanker or box, and manure equipment that load and unload or spread or dump products in designated locations. Place and operate manure equipment that supports the hose team, operates crawlers, tractors, pumps and loaders. Operate harvest and spreading equipment as needed. Operate towed machines such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops. Clear and maintain irrigation ditches. Clear and maintain yards, grounds, and facilities and field edges. Record information about liquid manure management. Repair, lubricate, and maintain equipment and pumps. May need to change oil, basic equipment disassembly and reassembly. Basic Facility maintenance and upkeep. Operate and maintain bin sites along with packing tractors. Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. Drive trucks to haul manure, supplies, tools, or farmworkers. Equipment Main trucks are tandem axle liquid manure trucks with float tires and 4200 gallon tanks. We use these trucks to surface spread manure. These trucks are loaded at a manure pit at many different farms, drove down the road and spread In the fields. CDL Required Nuhn Crawler - Manure agitation boat - these are used in manure pits to stir up solids from the bottom and are operated by a remote control. 4-wheel drive tractors - including front wheel assist and articulating eight wheelers that we drag line manure with. These are drove down the road to the farms and then In the fields. Majority of time is spent In the fields to apply manure through 8 inch main line from the farm to the field and Incorporated. High Pressure Manure pumps - These are pulled from farm to farm and are 400-600 horse with Cornell high pressure pumps that can be remotely run from the tractor. Air Compressor - used to blow manure out of hose Polaris Ranger - Used to drive along and inspect hose for leaks and possible failures. Variety of tractors mostly cabbed that power the lagoon pump to load the trucks Rapid Dump with Semi Tractor - tanks connected to a semi tractor that dump into a dumpster that is connected to the hose system. CDL Required Dumpster - is a tank that sits in the ditch and feeds the hose system Pressure Washer - Used to wash equipment Combines - Used to harvest crops Tractor and Grain Cart - Used to transport grain from combine to trucks Grain Drill and Tractor - no till drill used to plant cover crops

Minimum of 2 months of experience is required. Certified license is required. Must be able to obtain a CDL within 30 days of hire. Failure to pass criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
