Job Duties:
Worker will be required to complete the following activities as directed by supervisor: plant, seed, thin, prune, spray, tie, stake, trellis, fertilize, train, hedge, and other general care of fruit trees and plants; seed, plant, transplant, water, and maintain seedlings in greenhouse; install, maintain, and remove trellis system, netting, landscape fabric, and plastic mulch; maintain and repair farm buildings, grounds, fences, and equipment; set up, operate, and maintain irrigation systems; operate tractors, vehicles, and other agricultural equipment to complete farm tasks, including discing, ripping, culti-mulching, plowing, and brush chopping; cut and remove string or wire; hand harvest to quality standards grapes, strawberries, artichokes, cut flowers, peas, soybeans, beans, watermelon, cantaloupe, root vegetables, carrots, radishes, onions, shallots, leeks, garlic, herbs, winter squash, pumpkins, gourds, summer squash, lettuce, spinach, blueberries, raspberries, tomatillos, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, celery, cucumbers, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, cabbage, corn, corn stalks, and apples; field pack to quality standards; harvest and prepare lavender, peppermint, sage, lemon balm, and other herbs to quality standards, including trimming, replanting, drying, debugging, sifting, packing and composting, drive Employer-provided vehicle to and from worksite and other location; scan and tag produce for tracking and harvest productivity purposes. Special Requirements:
Job requires worker to complete tasks in general strawberry and garden field work, vineyard labor, hand harvest of apples, grapes, garden produce, strawberries, lavender, peppermint, sage, lemon balm, and other herbs. Employer will provide instructions and training on specific job duties. Employer will provide instructions and training on specific job duties. Worker must possess requisite physical strength and endurance to repeat harvest and general labor process throughout workday. Worker must work at sustained pace and make good faith efforts to work efficiently as reasonable under working conditions. Drug testing done at employers expense and not utilized as pre-employment tool. Season Commitment: Job offered requires worker be available for work for entire employment period.
