Job Duties:
Job duties will include planting, cultivating, harvesting, and handling corn, soybeans, wheat, alfalfa, and sod. Duties include but are not limited to operating agricultural equipment and machinery, including tractors and tractors with various implements, harvesters, sprayers, mowers, sod cutters, forklifts, skid steer loaders, ATVs, and other farm equipment, to prepare ground, plant, spray, irrigate, harvest, and transport crops. For row crop operations, workers will assist with field preparation, planting, spraying, irrigating, harvesting, and transporting corn and soybeans to on-farm storage facilities or elevators. Non-CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storage facilities or local supply locations. For alfalfa operations, workers will assist with field preparation, planting, spraying, irrigating, harvesting, and transporting bales to on-farm storage facilities, to market, or to a carrier for transportation to market . Workers will operate forklifts and other machinery to load bales of alfalfa for storage or delivery. Non-CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storage facilities or local supply locations. For sod production, workers will prepare soil by hauling, spreading, and applying topsoil, fertilizer, lime, and other soil conditioners. Employees will operate mowers and sod cutters to cut sod and will cut, roll, stack, load, and unload sod by hand and with equipment. Workers will operate forklifts and other machinery to load pallets of sod for storage or delivery. Workers may deliver sod produced on the farm, in its unmanufactured state, to on-farm storage, to market, or to a carrier for transportation to market. Workers may perform minimal, incidental sod installation, limited to placing sod produced on the farm in designated areas. This task does not include excavation, extensive grading, irrigation installation, or landscaping services. Workers may repair and handle empty skids to get them ready to be used again. Additional duties include washing and cleaning equipment; loading seed and supplies; mixing and applying agricultural chemicals as directed; assisting with the operation and maintenance of irrigation systems; general upkeep of farm equipment, sheds, shops, grain storage facilities, and farm housing; mowing grass; weed control around buildings and fences; occasional minor repair work on farm structures; and driving non-CDL farm trucks to obtain parts and supplies.

Special Requirements:
3 months of verifiable experience required in agricultural equipment operation. Applicants must be able to furnish verifiable job reference(s) or comparable third-party documentation from recent employer(s) establishing acceptable prior experience. Workers must have a valid, insurable drivers license or be eligible to apply for same at no cost to the worker. Will be asked to drive vehicles for transporting workers, goods, or commodities on company business. Workers are not permitted to be under the influence of intoxicants of any kind during working hours. Employer reserves the right to conduct post-hire, employer-paid, upon-suspicion and/or post-accident drug testing. Any employee who declines to take or fails a drug test will be immediately terminated.
