Job Duties:

Job Duties include but are not limited to: Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Attach farm implements, such as plow, discs, sprayers, or harvesters and drill to tractors using bolts and hand tools. Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Operate towed machines such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust and spray crops. Assist with irrigation - irrigate soil, assist with pivot irrigation and maintenance of pivots. Assist with maintenance and service of irrigation equipment. Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. Observe and listen to machinery operations to detect equipment malfunctions. Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural productions, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Hauling manure. Operate agricultural equipment to perform custom manure spreading. Drive farm truck to haul crops, tools, and supplies. Harvesting of crops. Crops: Corn and soybeans

Special Requirements:

A minimum of three months verifiable experience is required. Workers must be able to obtain their drivers license within 30-90 days of hire. Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive. Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 60lbs. Work is performed mostly outdoors, and workers will be exposed to hot and humid conditions. No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Smoking is prohibited in all farm buildings, vehicles, housing, and near equipment. These measures are essential to maintaining a safe and responsible work environment. All tools are provided by the employer.
