Job Duties:
Job duties include performing all general farm labor on a sod, hay, and livestock operation. Workers will prepare fields and operate tractors and a wide range of farm implements to disk, drag, mow, sprig or seed, fertilize, spray, cut, rake, ted, bale, stack, and transport hay and sod. Turf maintenance duties include mowing, rolling, irrigating, controlling weeds, repairing and leveling fields, and maintaining overall sod quality. Workers will harvest sod using sod harvesters, forklifts, and pallet handlers, load and transport pallets, and maintain and clean harvest and handling equipment to ensure efficient operations. The position also includes tasks such as building and repairing fences; installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems, pumps, pivots, water lines, poly pipe, and fittings; and performing property upkeep, brush control, and general facility maintenance. Workers will clean barns, shops, pens, and equipment, remove debris, pull hoses, sweep and rake work areas, and assist with manual grading and leveling as needed. Routine equipment servicing is required, including greasing, cleaning, fluid checks, and basic preventative maintenance on tractors, implements, irrigation equipment, and small engines. Daily livestock care includes feeding and watering animals, checking livestock health, moving and sorting animals, cleaning pens, operating gates, and assisting with vaccinations, tagging, deworming, and birthing as needed. Workers will safely handle livestock and operate skid steers, ATVs, utility vehicles, and farm trucks to support feeding, hauling, and routine ranch activities. The job requires frequent lifting, carrying, stacking, and handling of sod, hay, fencing materials, equipment, and supplies, as well as extensive hand labor such as weeding, fence repair, tarp placement for hay storage, loading and unloading materials, and other manual tasks necessary for sod, hay, and livestock production. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.

Special Requirements:
Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy skills are required. Job will require periods when workers may be exposed to varying weather conditions and extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, stooping, bending, or repetitive movements. Random drug testing and criminal background checks may occur post-hire at the employers expense. These checks may be performed to ensure safe housing and work environments for all workers. Positive drug test results or refusal to comply with testing may result in termination of employment. If the employer discovers a criminal conviction record or status as a registered sex offender that the employer reasonably believes, consistent with current law, will impair the safety and living conditions of other workers, the employer may terminate the worker (foreign and/or domestic) with notification to OFLC and DHS in accordance with 20 CFR 655.122(n).
