Job Duties:
Workers will assist with seasonal grain handling operations during peak periods of planting and harvest. Duties include operating grain augers to transfer grain into storage bins and load outbound trucks. Workers will load and unload grain trucks, maintain grain bins, and perform general cleaning of equipment and work areas. They will conduct routine pre- and post-use checks on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation and report any issues to their supervisor. Tasks may include shoveling, sweeping, and other general labor necessary to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of grain storage areas. Work will be performed at grain elevator locations and is directly related to the post-harvest handling and storage of agricultural commodities such as corn, wheat, and soybeans. Job responsibilities vary based on weather and crop flow and are tied to the seasonal cycle of local agricultural production. The position is not full-time and does not extend year-round. Workers must be able to follow simple instructions, perform repetitive tasks, and work in outdoor conditions as required. All tools, equipment, and training will be provided by the employer. Work is essential to the efficient operation of the grain elevator during times of high agricultural activity. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.

Special Requirements:
No experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level I Entry Level Pursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level I Entry Level, indicating that the job requires limited experience and routine supervision consistent with entry-level duties. The employer reserves the right to withhold the applicable housing deduction as permitted under program regulations, when approved and disclosed in the job order.
