- Job Duties:
- Workers will perform the following duties: working cattle by weaning calves for spring; general ranch maintenance; shredding/bush-hogging the pasture; harvesting hay and pecan crop; working calves as they are born; preparing the ranch for winter; general check-in of cows; fence repair and maintenance; tractor driving; cleaning feed bunks and barns; work under inclement weather; field prep, water maintenance; manual shovel work; repair/maintain barn, corrals, equipment, fields, pastures, roads, shop and water troughs. Three months of experience required. Random drug screening (upon hire) paid for by Employer; worker must be able to lift/carry sufficient weight (approximately 50 pounds) to move equipment and material necessary to complete assigned tasks. The Employer will rely on workers own representations and observations of workers to assess if the workers meet this qualification. Job involves extensive pushing/pulling, sitting or walking; frequent stopping/vending and repetitive movements. Work schedule includes one (1) unpaid lunch hour. Base hours offered is 40 hours; 10-30 overtime hours may be available. Los trabajadores realizarán las siguientes tareas: trabajar con el ganado destetando a los terneros para la primavera; mantenimiento general del rancho; triturar/desmalezar los pastos; recoger el heno y la cosecha de pacanas; trabajar con los terneros a medida que nacen; preparar el rancho para el invierno; registro general de las vacas; reparación y mantenimiento de vallas; conducción de tractores; limpieza de comederos y establos; trabajar en condiciones meteorológicas adversas; preparación del campo, mantenimiento del agua; trabajo manual con pala; reparación/mantenimiento del establo, corrales, equipos, campos, pastos, carreteras, taller y abrevaderos. Se requieren tres meses de experiencia. Examen de drogas aleatorio (al ser contratado) pagado por el Empleador; el trabajador debe ser capaz de levantar/cargar suficiente peso (aproximadamente 50 libras) para mover el equipo y material necesario para completar las tareas asignadas. El empleador se basará en las declaraciones de los propios trabajadores y en sus observaciones para evaluar si los trabajadores cumplen esta cualificación. El trabajo implica mucho empujar/tirar, sentarse o caminar; paradas/vueltas frecuentes y movimientos repetitivos. El horario de trabajo incluye una (1) hora de almuerzo no remunerada. El horario base ofrecido es de 40 horas; puede haber disponibles de 10 a 30 horas extra.
