Job Duties:

We need a seasonal employee to assist with our corn, wheat, rye, millet, and soybean production seasons. The employee will support all assigned duties related to planting, cultivating, maintaining, and harvesting these crops, as well as any additional tasks necessary for successful crop production. Job duties include preparing fields for planting; attaching farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools; operating tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery; engaging in planting, weeding, spraying, cultivating, and harvesting activities; fertilizing and spraying crops, including applying fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus, weeds, and diseases using hand sprayers; irrigating soil using portable pipes or ditch systems and maintaining ditches, pipes, and pumps; installing, maintaining, and repairing pivot irrigation systems; loading and unloading crops or materials manually or using conveyors, forklifts, transfer augers, or hand trucks; loading hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines using forklifts, augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks; guiding products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines and removing diseased or rotten products; manipulating controls to set, activate, and adjust equipment mechanisms; observing and listening to machinery during operation to detect malfunctions; driving farm semi-trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools; inspecting, adjusting, and completing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment; and performing maintenance and repairs on irrigation systems.

Special Requirements:

This position requires the ability to work in extreme outdoor temperatures and perform physically demanding tasks, including extensive pushing or pulling, prolonged sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending, and repetitive movements. Applicants must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and possess a valid, regular driver's license. A minimum of 3 months of relevant farm or agricultural experience is required.
