Job Duties:
Work under this contract will consist of irrigation, transplanting, tractor driving, mechanical harvesting of both organic and conventional spring mix products and general farm labor as pre-harvest labor. General Duties: 1. Follow all H-2A program regulations 2. Comply with all RC Farms, LLC - H2A Contract requirements 3. Follow all Human Resource, Payroll, Absence, Safety and Food Safety Policies 4. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure the safety of all team members, including Housing Areas and Equipment 5. Responsible for accurate timekeeping records: breaks, lunches, jobs, fields, locations on Pet Tiger for themselves and when working in Trios 6. Use company supplied PPE safety aids (i.e., back support belts, safety glasses, gloves, coveralls, etc.) and communication equipment 7. Safely operate and maintain company equipment, (i.e., tools, vehicles, tractor, etc.) 8. Follow accident-reporting procedures by reporting immediately to direct report 9. Perform job(s) in a safe and beneficial manner Harvesting Duties: 1. Mechanical harvest of Spring Mix lettuces (baby greens) and Spinach, in a fast-paced environment 2. Package products that are mechanically cut away from their roots into RPC’s and Fiber/Plastic Bins according to specific instructions 3. Loaded containers onto trailers and stack 4. Hoeing/Weeding undesired vegetation that grows along with the crop planted 5. Thinning/removal removing plants or parts of plants to facilitate the growth of the crop planted 6. Debris and trash cleaning of any foreign objects on fields prior to harvest 7. Ranch housekeeping of all perimeters (yards, banks, borders, etc.) 8. Safely operate tractors, forklifts, and other farm equipment as needed for transporting harvested products and materials 9. Perform routine maintenance inspections on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation 10. Adhere to safety protocols and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately 11. Perform other tasks and duties under SOC Code 45-2092. Related duties may be assigned. Irrigation Duties: 1. Prepare fields for irrigation by sprinkler or drip delivery system 2. Set up, monitor, and maintain irrigation systems, including sprinklers and drip lines 3. Move and adjust portable sprinklers and irrigation pipes to ensure proper water coverage across fields 4. Perform scheduled irrigation, start of pumps, redirect water through irrigation gates of fields (day, night) 5. Repair and replace damaged lines or equipment to maintain optimal irrigation efficiency 6. Perform seeding activities; assist in planting and cultivation activities 7. Perform general maintenance tasks such as clearing debris, cleaning equipment, and ensuring fields remain accessible for irrigation and harvesting tasks 8. Safely operate tractors, forklifts, and other farm equipment (ATV, Ranch Vehicle, Vacuum Tractor) as needed for transporting materials, preparing fields, and supporting irrigation tasks 9. Perform routine maintenance inspections on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation 10. Adhere to safety protocols and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately 11. Perform other tasks and duties under SOC Code 45-2092. Related duties may be assigned.

Special Requirements:
We require one (1) month of recent and verifiable experience within the past two (2) years in irrigation and mechanical harvesting related duties including but not limited to driving tractors/equipment needed to move irrigation equipment in and out of fields. This position requires a minimum of one (1) month for the employee to get a full understanding of the job and responsibilities. Must be able to understand work & safety instructions in English or Spanish, the languages spoken and written in the workplace.
