Job Duties:
All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform the work described in the job order and must be available for the entire period of employment specified in A.3 & A.4 . Workers will plant in greenhouses, as well as plant and transplant crops in fields. Workers will perform field work including weeding, seedling maintenance, field preparation, mechanical and manual cultivation, pruning and trellising. Fertility and sanitation management of blueberries and fruit trees. Work is physically demanding, requiring workers to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time in all weather conditions. Workers must be able to lift and carry up to 50 Pounds. Workers must be willing to work in varied weather conditions, ranging from extremely cold in the spring, and fall to hot and humid in the summer. Workers will sort, wash, pack and otherwise prepare various produce for distribution. Workers may operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (whether on or off farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach farmer's fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as-needed basis. Workers that are requested to drive will be required to possess a valid driver’s license; no worker will be rejected for not having a driver's license. Workers who do drive will still perform the same field work and other duties as non-driving workers; driving is not a primary duty. Worker responsibilities will include daily rotation of pastured poultry care. Will assist in feeding, cleaning, laying hen flock and meat chicken groups, egg collection, washing and packing. Employers will furnish all tools and equipment required to perform duties assigned to workers without cost. Workers may require to work 9 hours shift between the hours of 7:00am to 7:00pm from Monday through Friday, and workers may require to work 5 hours shift between the hours of 7:00am to 7:00pm on Saturday. Workers get a 45-minute Lunch break which is staggered between 11am to 1pm as decided by the workers. The workers will return to work after their 45-minutes are up. The beginning and ending times will vary depending on crop conditions. Workers must be able to take direction in simple English. In Section A, Items 6a-h of ETA Form 790A, we listed the total anticipated hours as nine (9) per day. To clarify, workers will work a 9-hour shift within the 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM window Monday through Friday, plus a 5-hour shift within the same window on Saturday. This totals 50 hours per week. The 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM range accounts for farm conditions (e.g., weather or crop readiness) to ensure workers complete the required hours. Workers will not work a full 12-hour shift.
