Job Duties:

Workers will perform manual and mechanized tasks associated with the production of rice, soybeans, and cotton on an Arkansas row-crop farm. Duties include preparing land for planting; operating tractors and implements to plant, cultivate, and harvest crops; assisting with irrigation systems and levee construction and maintenance for rice fields; hoeing and removing weeds; applying fertilizer and assisting with pest and weed control under direct supervision; repairing and maintaining fences, buildings, and farm equipment; loading, unloading, and transporting agricultural materials; cleaning, servicing, and performing routine maintenance on tools, equipment, and vehicles; and performing other tasks incidental to crop production. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions and requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, repetitive movements, and lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Work hours may vary according to weather, crop conditions, and agricultural demands.
