- Job Duties:
- Prepare fields for planting. Pick rocks and operate tractors to till the soil. Operate farming equipment in order to plant, spray, fertilize, harvest and haul grain and hay crops. Stack and bale hay. Transport agricultural inputs such as chemicals, seed and fertilizer. Transport agricultural equipment from field to field. Load and unload crops. Operate grain cart. Transport crops to storage facilities. Spread manure on fields. Set, maintain, operate and repair center pivot irrigation systems in order to irrigate crops. Perform routine maintenance to farming equipment and make infield repairs when necessary. General farm upkeep duties such as facility maintenance and shop work.
